Tonight im going to watch the transformers movie, it looks really good on the trailer and i liked them when i was a kid, i had a few of the robots , i cant remember all of the names but i had the one that turned from a big truck in to a robot, i think that was the leader of the autobots.
brief history part 1
Barrow-in-Furness is a huge industrial town in the county of Cumbria, well-known for its shipbuilding business and once had the world’s biggest steelworks. Barrow started its life as one of several small hamlets on the Furness peninsula and relied primarily on fishing and agriculture. Barrow’s earliest steamship was a 3,000 ton boat which was called the Duke of Devonshire, it was launched in 1873. Throughout the first two world wars, Barrow shipyard constantly grew along with the population of the town, it peaked at 74,000 in 1931.
news
An old saying known by most people in England “Todays news is tomorrows fish and chip paper“ allthough observing how the news is written is a good way to pick up new writing tips.
The most recent upgrade I’ve added to the site is a new barrow news area, it didn’t work for a bit but finally I sorted the code I had to create my own rss reader.
Unfortunately I had to make a couple for the main news area since each separate news feed was supplied by a different supplier and I needed each one slightly changed on each section although some are very similar it took me ages but I eventually completed it.
about the forum
Forum 28 is a fresh chat discussion website for locals and residents of a big coastal town in the North West of England called Barrow in Furness. With over 100 members at the discussion board users are free to natter about any approaching local events or music performances in the town, the forum has many topic areas such as the Barrow Music gigs guide. This is the area for people post about upcoming gigs or events. While the forum has been live I have installed a couple of fantastic upgrades to the site to advance it, this also includes a budding photo gallery which has a growing collection of pictures of barrow and things or people from around the Barrow area.
more of the same
Forum 28 is a discussion forum directed at internet surfers and people of a cool coastal town situated in the N.W. of England, it is known as Barrow in Furness Cumbria.
There are over 100 users registered at the forum users visit to talk about any future gigs or music performances that’s happening, the discussion board has numerous topics for example the what’s on guide.
The music guide has the most to read at this time as loads of people talk about new gigs. the site has been up and running I’ve fixed on a number of extra features to the website to keep it interesting, this has been things like a busy photographs section with photos from round Barrow (where is Barrow?). Recently added is the Cumbria news page showing the most recent local news, these are to some rss feeds discovered at assorted news sites, and now thanks to Google you can now look at Furness abbey area like not many people have seen it before, the Google map offers either street map and satellite imagery to look at.
